Corporate Social Responsibility
You want to know that the products you buy are made in factories that respect the hard work, safety,
dignity and overall well being of its workers and the community in which they live – and we
demand nothing less. Legacy Athletic
has always held itself to a high standard because we understand and agree with the public's
concern over "sweat shop" issues. We have been an active member of the Fair Labor Association
since 1999 and considered ourselves at the forefront of corporate social responsibility amongst
companies our size.

Legacy is an Enhanced Category C member of the Fair Labor Association ("FLA") and has
adopted the FLA’s Code of Conduct (see link below), which comprehensively addresses
labor practices, wages, and working conditions in effect at apparel manufacturing facilities.
We are one of the leaders in the FLA’s Pilot Program for Category “C” licensees (companies with
sales less than $50 million) and our President, Paige Wingert, is one of six licensees on the FLA’s
Staff Advisory Committee. Legacy sources from only a few factories so that we can establish very
close working, long-term relationships with our subcontractors and ensure that they meet or exceed
the standards set forth by the FLA.
With regard to our own employees, we strive to be a “preferred employer” by making work fun and rewarding
as opposed to “just a job”. Legacy’s compensation package is as good as or better than others doing similar
work in our area. In addition, we offer a generous profit sharing plan, health insurance, a 401(k) retirement
savings plan with a company match, and paid personal days, holidays and vacation days to all eligible employees.
Additionally, we believe it is our duty to provide our employees with a safe workplace and, accordingly, our working environment
provides comfort, orderliness, and safety.
Finally, at Legacy, we encourage our employees to be passionate not only about our products and customers,
but also about the community and world we live in. Legacy actively supports United Way, Junior Achievement,
and donates thousands of hats to churches and charities in the U.S. and abroad.
